Thread: Good Day

    Smile Good Day

    Today I was worried that it was going to be like most of the rest. I slept only 3 hours and wasn't eating. But as the day went on, my brother really fueled my positivity and we went out of the house for a long walk. My first time out of the house in 3 days. It felt so good, I cant even explain. To finally give my heart a rest - it never raced the entire time and my palms remained dry. Living in a basement apartment with anxiety can be cave-like. All that I can recommend is that even when times are tough, if you want a little break - a hot shower/bath and get your butt outside for a walk. I know what its like to be afraid of going out but it is rewarding. Maybe don't do it alone but do it with a loved one. Also, I downloaded an audio track called "Overcome Stress and Anxiety with EMDR" by Mark Grant. Its not a miracle worker - but if you focus hard enough it will help you focus and relax.

    Well done! It can be so hard to find the motivation to take that first step out the door. I find I always feel better after some fresh air.

    Hi Kris,

    I agree well done. You have made some very positive statements for those that tend to stay indoors due to anxiety. I hope you continue to get out.
