Want To Come Off

Hi,

I`ve been taking prozac for over 2 years now and yes it has helped me (I suffer with bad PMS) but I want to come off it now.

I`ve been weaned down to 20mg a day for 5 days a week and now I feel I can`t go any further with them. I`m always going to have horrendous periods and they`ve got worse as I`ve got older but I may be having a coil fitted to help with the symptoms.

Would I have a bad reaction if I stopped taking the Prozac? I suppose I`m not really on a large dose anyway. I didn`t take on this morning and I want to give it a go.

Prozac is the only SSRI that can be stopped relatively quickly because it stays in the body for many weeks and withdrawal symptoms with Prozac are said to be very mild compared to other SSRIs. I never had any problems coming off it and I was on 20mg.
