Couldnt swallow!

Whilst i was out xmas shopping last week i realised i coulnt swallow my saliva it felt as though my throat was closing,the more i tried to swallow the worse it got i ended up crying in the middle of the shopping centre and coming home.I really thought i had throat cancer it semed to clear up the next day and havent had it since.Has anyone else had this and anyone have any idea what may have caused it?thanx.xx

I get the same thing, it's really scary

It's another symptom of panic/anxiety which lots of other people on here get, too. Have a read through the other posts, hopefully it will help to know you're not alone xx

I have felt this many times in my life and im 55 . I think its just anxiety popping up at the worse moment.. I always have issues with my throat feeling like its closing up but hasn't yet. I think you will be fine.. Michael
