You are mad - housework - nasty chore but necessary. Exercise - relatively nasty chore - but necessary.
Housework as exercise is just too horrible to contemplate! I prefer the hoover / dust as required school of drudgery. Incorporating exercise would mean I'd have to clean more. At least at the gym I've now timed it to catch up with the soaps (Enders omnibus on a Sunday)
And as for dusting to love songs - it would take forever. You want something energising and fast to make it go quicker! Foo Fighters, or the Chillis, or for the times when you have the mother-in-law arriving and only 10 minutes to do the whole house, something really rousing - think Ace of Spades by Motorhead. (Don't try this at the gym though - you'll end up pulling something)
Sadie - JFDI - but if it makes you feel better start off gradually. Do three 20 minute walks a week, and walk at such a speed that you are slightly out of breath. It's not that scarey honest - 10 minutes away from the house, then turn round and walk 10 minutes back if you are really anxious. Otherwise, walk somewhere nice. If you pass a park or something on the way back from the shops, why not stop the car, have a stroll, and then go home?
Good luck - you really will feel so much better for it, honest. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it really has made a difference to me.
