Hawk In The Backyard

Not sure if anyone is interested but recently we had a hawk about a foot tall or maybe taller come hunting around our home.This hawk was in a tree about 30 yards from the house.. I took video of him or her.sitting doing hawk things. No sound but the hawk has really beautiful colors and turns its head around and does a few entertaining things..anyway thought I would share it with everyone.. He or she is so patient ..I hope it managed to eat after the wait ..The bit in the middle made me laugh lol Well I suppose if you have to go you have to go ...? The colours are really pretty.We had a Hawk in our garden once ,he just stood staring with his head held high ,Id never seen one so close up .he was after Fish I think as we had a pond in the garden at the time .But he flew away when we opened the door .Thank you for sharing that Michael ..Sue

Hi Michael.....amazing looking bird. I had a look on google to see if I could maybe identify it. Do you think it may be one of these?http://www.komar.org/faq/colorado-red-tailed-hawk/

I am thinking its a red tail hawk,. but then I saw some photos of that they are calling falcons .. I have also tried to check on google images. and can't find anything exactly like it .The coloring is really pretty.It comes here every few days to feed and the owls come at night.. ill check your link and see if that is it. Michael
