Citalopram && Sleep......

Hi Peeps..
Im Passed The Side Effects Of My Medication, Im Currently On 30mg Citalopram.. I Think Ive Been Taking This For 2 1/2 Months Maybe Longer.....

My Only Problem Is, The Nightmares I Have Each And Every Night.. These Dreams Are Just Normal Things In My Life But Im Panicing In All Of Them, And Waking At 4am & 6am Feeling Confused And Like Ive Had Nooo Sleep At All.. These Dreams Seem To Go On Forever, Yesterday Morning I Woke Up And Ran Down Stairs Actually Believing It Was Christmas
I Feel Im Going A Little Nutts.
Also Ive Resently Gone Up To 30mg Of Cit && Im Mega Drowsy & Feel The Need To Rest Alot..

Can Anyone Relate?

Hi, Citalopram has been known to cause strange and vivid dreams in some people, but dreams which cause you distress are probably caused by stress and/or anxiety. It does sound like the cit is making your dreams more intense but that won't hurt you

PS Very soon you WILL be running downstairs on Christmas morning -- hooray!!

Hang on in there, Jordan. Sounds like the Citalopram might be doing it's job - this is just one thing to be worked through whilst your body settles down.
