hey guys this is my first post here. I never thought i'd be posting on a forum like this a few years ago but over time my anxiety and depression have worsened and I now want to do something about it because its ruining my life. I have been on prozac (Fluoxatine) for a few years on and off and while this was a big help to my Deppression, my confidence/anxiety did not change.
I went to the doctors again today and explained this.. telling her that I needed something stronger that would deal with anxiety. She told me that I must do Cognative Behavoral Theropy (online, here http://moodgym.anu.edu.au).
I am aware of what CBT is and how it works, but to be honest I am feeling really really bad and I expect to just sit here sulking over the next few weeks while I do this.
Can it really help that much???
She told me that if it does not do anything for me, I should come back and she will perscribe me Venlafaxine. Interesting.
