    Self Harm to relieve anxiety

Does anybody self harm to relieve anxiety?

I did yesterday...... very very mildly.... without even realising what I was doing...

    Am I the only one?

I have done it deliberately before, usually stemming from family issues. It was a release at the time but in the days after I couldn't raise a smile easily, like the muscles around my mouth were weak or something.

Please don't do it, there's always a reason not to and that reason is YOURSELF, you gotta love yourself when times get hard, even if it was subconscious, it's misdirected frustration so don't let it be a habit. Take Care X

You are not the only one, but you are one more person who should not hurt themselves, you don't deserve to harm yourself like this. Please talk to someone about it - have you spoken to your doctor? You're obviously going through enough hurt at the moment without actually physically hurting yourself - you are too precious for this. Please, get some help.

    Thanks everyone for the replies...

I have self harmed in the past and don't want it to become an issue again so I am going to speak to my psychologist about it... Make sure it doesn't...

Thankyou very much for your responses, just wanted to know if other anx people did this... xx

I have been using SH for many years and truely regret the day I started using it as a way of coping/release. It became an addiction to me.

There is a very helpfull link on the left side of this page. Please get help as soon as you can.

    Take care
