Prozac

Hi,

Ive been on prozac for about 6 months after years on citalopram, because of the side effects its having on me (my anxiety has gotten worse so has my depression...... handy huh) i'm being moved to venlafaxine.....

I'm due to just stop the prozac then in 5 days start the venlafaxine..... i'm really scared of what the effects of quitting the prozac so quickly will be and wondered if anyone had any experience of dropping it out so fast that can give me an idea what to expect?.....

Hi Jon

Same happened to me a few years ago. I had been on Prozac twice. First time it worked for me but the second time, it didn't..they swapped me onto Venlafaxine and i was actually ok. I have been on Venlafaxine since then and it is the best med that has worked for me so far.
