ibs question

Hi All

i suffer with bloated stomach a lot with my ibs and also a nagging like uncomfortable feeling, i also feel hard parts in my stomach when im going through bad times, its this all part of ibs?

Hi there
Yes it quiete common with IBS I get a lot of bloatedness
It gets you down sxometime
Try peppermint Tea
Or Peppermint Capsules
The doctor has given me some new medication to try it is Kalanticon Gell
Only been on it for a week so not sure if it is working yet.

Hi, this does all sound like IBS. I take Mebeverine, which taken 3x a day every day seems to help with stomach cramping and bloating symptoms. A hot water bottle or heat pack can ease the pain. Also I find sitting with my knees up to my chest or lying curled up in the foetal position can help to relieve wind in the intestines. Drink plenty of water - avoid getting dehydrated as it will constipate you - and try eating smaller meals. You may also find that avoiding certain foods helps. I find artificial sweeteners in things like chewing gum and also fizzy drinks are particular problems.

Sounds like a normal day for me!

I find it gets things moving if i curl up with a hot water bottle or insist that my long-suffering partner rubs my tummy!
