Shhh - us newly recruited government agents aren't allowed to talk about our work......

Now I *may* have slightly broken a teensy security rule writing that!
But version 16a blue book paragraph 18b section 4 line 5 second paragraph bracketed bit is just not very clear in my view.

If you never hear of me again, you know why.

Very wise all this - don't rock the boat. You might get more than your feet wet!

    Nice to be missed though.

Perhaps it's different in the UK than it is in the US, but if you're working for the government here you're allowed to say so and to say you can't talk about it. In some cases you can even explain why. Perhaps our systems are different though...

Though, I didn't even work directly for the government... I worked for a privately-owned nuclear power plant. Even so, because of security procedures put into place since 9-11, I wasn't allowed to say much about my work to anyone.

    Martin,

Here's the link I've used invisble typing https://www.mi5.gov.uk/careers/careers.aspx, they have a job for for a Network Engineer I note! Is that you

As for the US Faethra we daren't let anyone know we work for the government, we get lynched for our pensions, leather armchairs and cushy lifestyle.

hey - you get a leather armchair????
I just got this wooden stool with no arms !!!!!!
    (The stool not me!)

And I am so much more than a network engineer!
I can also put toner into printers.........
    sometimes without spilling any,
and often remembering to pull the tape thingy out/off first.

Haha! Well, right now with our economy working for the government is probably one of the few jobs you can get that you know you won't lose very quickly, depending on which department you join. :P

Lol Marty! Way to go! Copiers are such a pain, aren't they? You show them who's boss!

    Martin,

I am so worried for you now; wooden stools they sound very painful. How do you handle the splinters? Ooops I wouldn't reccomend handling them, maybe tweezers or more fibre.
