    Hi Bronte,

Sorry to hear you are anxious about this!

I have been diagnosed with ibs (approx 3yrs ago) and I on occasion I have suffered with this problem. Mostly when I was very nervous or had a stomach upset.

Have you had ibs diagnosed by a doctor?

Yes, our bowels contract to push the stools through to the exit, the mucus we all have, to make this easier, its the bowels going into spasm with I.B.S that has this mucus attaching itself to the stools x

    Bronte,

I have also had a colonoscopy (not fun at all!!!!), ultrasound, blood tests etc and all serious problems were excluded so doctor said it was ibs.

If you have had those test and the doctor is happy with them then the muscus is going to be due to the ibs.

I find too much dairy or too much wheat sometimes makes makes my tummy worse but the thing that makes me the worst is definatley anxiety!
