    Question Yawning and deep breathing

the feeling like i need to take a deep breath or yawn constantly.started over a year ago had ekg chest xrays blood work oxigen level is good.finally ask my doc to give me something because it was stressing me out.he gave me ativen 0.5mg.seem to help,I finally ignored feeling and pretty much went away for summer.now it has come back and seems to be worse than the first time.went back to my docs and he says everthing is ok,gave me more ativan.i do notice if my mind is on something else it does not seem to be noticlable, but every day that goes by it seems to get worse because thats all i think about is my breathing.i try not to focus on it but very hard not to. how long does this last will i ever be normal, wish i could find a way to stop thinking so much.thank you

Ive suffered with this since i was 16, im 34 now. Its called "air hunger" and a definite anxiety symptom. I actually had this three days ago and it literally exhausts me but as quick as it came on, it went. I think the longest ive had this continually is a week.

Yep, I get this too occasionally, but it doesn't concern me. It feels as though you need to take a really deep breath but can't quite fill your lungs up. I'm sure it's nothing serious at all. Take care.
