In any case, glad you and your family enjoyed the movie regardless Nora! Makes me want to see 'Sonic 2' even more!

I think being threatened with the likes of the police station was more of an idle threat in order to make me be on my best behaviour when I was a kid, rather than a 'literal' threat.

I also had the fear of God put into me over the legendary 'naughty boys' home' run by nasty violent men and also the 'bogeyman' shop managers who would whisk misbehaving kids into the rear of the store to give them a vicious pasting, which again never actually happened.

Mind you what I went through as a kid was probably a walk in the park compared to the punishments my mom was on the receiving end as a child, such as being pushed down the stairs by her dad, who was a bit of a sadist bully boy head case.

My maternal grandad was also a wife beater, of whom my grandma had divorced by the mid 70s.

But prior to then, issues such as child abuse and domestic violence in general were usually kept private and rarely ever discussed in public, unlike in these more enlightened times.

He is a complete and utter git!

    I have a minor gripe.

We went to see Russell Brand last night and unfortunately I didn't realise until 4pm that we had to be there at 6pm. Major panic on, had to rush like a looney to get there in time and we had to miss our tea. So although we had a lovely time and the show was very good. Missing my tea was a bit of an issue, even the free cookie on our seats when we arrived didn't make up for my lack of proper food.

Blimey..Is he still pushing those Trews Cafe cookies? He's been doing that for years!

Amazing how he appears to have turned his life around now being respectfully married to Kirsty Gallacher's sister and also dad to 2 little girls. Did he do an aftershow meet and greet? Is he flogging a new book?

He did the meet and greet in the interval. Then after the main show there was a 10 minute meditation and the a Q&A session. Maybe about 1/2 the audience left after the main show.

He didn't mention the book surprisingly, just his YouTube channel a few times.

My first day of work, 12 hour shift and had to leave 2 hours early because the buses to the station are not running since the jubilee , been really really nervous couldn't sleep anyway. Also have a cold
Was doing some training yesterday and did not get back until 10:30pm, went straight to bed. Felt really faint which they put it down to the air conditioning (after sitting down and having some water in a cooler room ) Kept waking up feeling hot and nauseous. I hope I will be ok

Re: Complaints Box: post your daily moans...

We needed a new doorbell. I asked for a replacement to the one we had - a bog standard doorbell..

However, my gadget loving husband had other ideas and bought a Ring 'smart' doorbell.

    Smart? Are you kidding me?

It's been on for a week and the notifications of 'person detected' is killing me. Literally every time someone farts three streets away Alexa pipes up 'Motion detected'. I start flapping, thinking I have to answer the door, (and socialise urgh) and there's nobody there! (yes, we've adjusted the sensitivity)

I just wanted a doorbell that bing-bongs. I didn't want this Ring crap and have to have stickers in my window to tell people they're on camera. MAKE IT STOP!!

However, what Mr B failed to consider is the fact that I can see what time he rolls in pissed when he goes to the social club because my mate RING gives me a time and video evidence. BUSTED mate ha ha ha...

Other than that, I hate the thing..

5.04 am Alexa pipes up, 'motion detected' and that was while she was muted!

You may need to give Alexa the Amber Heard treatment? Complete disconnection with pliers.
