Just popped on quick to post the latest Dental charges and treatments they cover ..Magic you have the right to a scale and polish by your Dentist ..If he sends you to Hygeinist you will have to pay more ,Demand he do it ..Its our right to have the Dentist do it for the price of £17-50..Print thisout and take it with you next time .What a bunch of robbing swines ....Hatchet time again I think ...Lilo aka shs ..xx

Healthy teeth and gums, and a mouth free from disease, are important. Everyone should therefore expect to be able to access good quality NHS dental services at a reasonable cost.

NHS dental treatment is free for:

children and young adults under 18
pregnant women
people receiving certain benefits
some students with a HC2 certificate
For all service users who do not qualify for the free dental treatment, the latest NHS dental charges from 1 April 2012 are published below:

Band 1 course of treatment – £17.50

This covers an examination, diagnosis (eg X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant. If you require urgent care, even if your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete, you will only need to pay one Band 1 charge.

Band 2 course of treatment – £48.00

This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.

Band 3 course of treatment – £209.00

This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.

To get teeth fixed here is expensive to,i glad I have good fangs I do not want Beebhog to pull out with pliers..I am strong but not that strong
