Don’t be so quick to swap your regular cup of coffee for decaf in a bid to be healthier. A study funded by the national institute for health found that these who drink 3 to six cups of decaf a day over a three month period compared to those who drank the same amounts of normal coffee had an 18 per cent rise in blood fat levels, which is associated with clogged arteries. Nutritionist Amanda Ursell says; People switching to decaf often think they can drink as much of it as they like. But it’s not really a healthier option. Its better to stick to a couple of proper coffees a day rather than lots of decaf.
