Prozac and night sweats

Hi

I have been on 40mgs Prozac since September last year. About 3 months ago, I started with increasingly worsening stomach pains, which I was told are a commons side effect of this medication and was prescribed Omeprazole. I am now suffering with awful cold night sweats where I am waking up and the bed is soaked. Has anyone else experienced this? I am waiting for my psychiatrist to call me back before I go to my GP as I don't want to change or alter my medication unless she approves.

This is so common with all SSRIs. I had really bad night-sweats too when I increased my dose of sertraline. There's not much you can do but it does get better after a while.

If the Prozac is helping you I think it's a compromise we sometimes have to make - but mention it to your doctor as perhaps reducing the dose may help.
