Thread: Naso-endoscopy?

    Naso-endoscopy?

I have been having a problem with a "clicking" throat (see http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=72288 for more info) and today the GP has said she will refer me for a naso-endoscopy.

Can anyone tell me what this is like? I have a sensitive gag reflex and fear of vomiting so it doesn't appeal much!!

Will they sedate me if I ask? Do they tell you their findings straight away?

They will generally give you a numbing nasal spray. It'll be over before you know it and you won't feel a thing really. I've even had it done without the numbing spray. It's really not a big deal. They generally will tell you right away if they see anything wrong or not. It's quick and easy.
