    [Wow!]Nic [^]

I popped down the newsagents especially for this, and didn’t drive away until I had read the article. And what a great article it was, and yeah, Nic, what a yummy picture of you[8D]

    Well worth the wait!

By the way, I thought you’d want a bit more publicity

Thanks Nicola for being brave enough to be interviewed and making public what so many of us are suffering from. I am also a fellow sufferer of panic attacks while driving and feel such a fool about it because so far no-one has understood how I feel. It sounds so dramatic when you try to explain to someone how you feel and when I say I have to keep in the left hand lane my family think I have turned into a mad person who drives very slowly and carefully and won't overtake. It is so lovely to know I am not alone. Have developed a few of my own strategies which are basically mind tricks really but they help sometimes. As you say you feel such a success when you have completed a journey without panicking!

I hadn't realised it was in today's paper so went back out especially to get a paper. We usually have this at the clinic to do the puzzles but someone had gone off with the paper!

    Great article Nic.

I would like to say ive suffered from panic attacks for 15 yrs, im doin really well now, but have been there with all the symptoms that are described in the daily irish mail article today, i just want to say if there is anyone out there thats feelin desperate and feel theres no light at the end of the tunnel firstly there is and secondly not sure how it works on this but if you have my email addy please feel free to mail me i would love to be help people who are goin through what ive gone through, but the first step has to be on a website like this knowing you are not on your own, you are not going mad and more importantly that panic attacks are not going to kill you ... i spent years convinced i had a heart problem and with every attack i thought my heart was going to give up. ive just read a wonderful article here on palpatations and its exactly how my heart used to go when i had an attack... liz
