Hello all My name is Jenni, I am 26 years of age

ever since the age of 16 I have always had the odd panic attack until the age of 23 when my Mum died.

I then had a panic attack at least 6 times a day and they were really bad, I found myself gasping for breathe feeling all tingly and just could not cope.

I then went to the Doctors who officially diagnosed me with panic dissorder and agrophobia.

I felt very very afraid to leave my house and could not be left alone.

I was reffered to a psychiatrist at a mental health clinic but he was no help

anway I made a decision I had to get better as my boyfriend was shorlty going on holiday with his friend for a week which ment i would be all on my own.


I then found this site (a few years ago) and Nicola and Sue was a big help when I chatted to them on chat - Thank you to both of you (my login name was Jenni)

Ever since I made this decision I began to get better and 2 months later I returned to work.

for 2 years I would still get panic attacks but they wernt so frequent but i still would be petrified when I had them

A Happy Ending.................

finally one day I was having a panic attack i took the approach "I accept I get panic attacks" and then I put a brave front on. The panic attack went instantly.

Ever since i took the same attitute I accepted I had Panic attacks its apart of who I am!!!!! its no big deal I suffer with them so what!!

The panic attacks then rapidly reduce and I confirm I am now 26 and I have not had a panic attack for 1 year even if I would get one now I now I can cope with them!!!

So everybody it may be a long journey but you all can get through it just like I did!!!!
