Two embarrassing moments in two days.

    I feel so embarrassed!
Ive just come back from taking my grandaughter dance class. While there I sat next to a lady and asked her how old her grandaughter was.
Only to be told that it was her daughter and that you dont have to be young to be a mum!
Thursday while in asda I was standing in the queue and asked the lady in front of me when was her baby due.
And yes youve guessed it she told me she wasnt pregnant!
Ive done things like this before but never so soon after one another.
Im dreading next week taking my grandaughter to dance class cus the lady no doubt be there again.
Next time I go out im going tape my mouth up cus things always happen in 3s.

    hmmm keep quiet lynn!!!
Stuff like this always goes in runs of threes and no matter how hard we try majority of us always manage to put a foot in it. I always find when trying to make things better always make that hole a wee bit bigger!
Take heart that we all do it and no matter how hard you try the third will happen!!!
    Take care,

My father-in-law, blessed by youthful genes which make him look no later than his early sixties if that (he is 80'ish), was once at a school reunion. The chap he was talking to finally got round to asking when he was at their school. The received reply produced the following "My goodness you must have known my father!"

Ohh dont you just hate those kind of moments ! I have done it myself Lyne.

I dont think i can beat my daughter though, she used to baby sit for my boss at work and he sent her a text askng if she could baby sit that night, her friend text her also and asked if she was going to the pub and my daughter text back (thinkng she was replying to her friend) "I cant go out because im baby sitting for two spoilt bratts"! She sent it to my boss by mistake !I dont think my boss was very happy !!

The Asda one may have been subliminally my fault Granny. Don't you remember the cartoon I sent you about the mother & son, see pregnant lady, explain is a baby, see fat lady, kid assumes its dozens... Obviously this was still hanging about in your subconscious....

One should recall that when I was born to a women of 40 she was referred to as a "Geriatric Mother", and 30 years later many seemed surprised when my son was born to a woman of 36. Not least my wife......who fortunately was the one pregnant.

So these are complicated times when the grandmother can look younger than the mother. Similarly have you seen the latest interview with Sir Clive Sinclair... We goggled at his watch & pocket calculators, worshiped his PCs, laughed at his bike, and now we envy him his wife.
