Agoraphobic sponsored walk...

Hi all,

I am agoraphobic and find it difficult to go out.

I have just agreed to do a sponsored walk in aid of the Children's Hospice on Sunday 2nd of May and I'm really nervous...

I will be accompanied by my partner (I can't go out by myself) and my new puppy! We will be walking approx 4 miles.

I know it's short notice but would anybody be willing to sponsor me please?

I took part in the same event last year (there are some photos on this site somewhere) and I raised £130!!!

Anything you can afford to give would be very much appreciated!

What a brilliant idea! I am not exactly awash with cash, I mean I could give you like 2 quid maximum. Should I send it via Paypal Gift or something like that? (Paypal Gift doesn't charge you for receiving the money.)

Hi Shoe - it may be better if it does go through the Bmycharity link as then you can take advantage of the tax relief back on it. It is also hard for me to keep track of payments and donations from people that are for you and not me.

I don't think people will know who you are from that link though will they?

Well, I'm getting quite nervous now...

I foolishly said I'd take my dog along as a 'mascot' and I asked if I could have a child's t-shirt for him to wear (with the charity logo printed on it). The t-shirt wasn't delivered until 8pm so I've been cutting it up and making it into a dog coat all night! The things I do...

We will be walking 4 miles to a big park where a band will be playing and apparently there will be a hog roast. I don't like busy places or crowds so I'm absolutely dreading it. Having said that I'm kind of looking forward to the challenge.

So... if anybody would like to sponsor me it's not too late!
