Is this it starting to work?

Hello! I've been on Citalopram for five days now and on waking up I find that I actually feel normal, after a few minutes or so the anxiety comes back but could this be the Citalopram starting to work? Just curious to see if anybody else experienced anything else like this. Thank you very much.

Sounds like they are beginning to take effect! Don't be disheartened if you take a step backwards now and again though because that is quite normal on these meds!

    Good luck

Sounds pretty good to me. As moomin said though, don't be disheartened if you don't keep feeling better every day, that's what happens in the beginning with these meds. I've been on them for about 6 months now, started on 20mg am now on 40mg and feel soooo much better. I know the initial 6 weeks were pretty much up and down for me with bad side effects but now at 6 months I feel really good.

    All the best to you.
