Physical state is bringing mental state down

I've been recovering from an anxiety and depressive disorder for a week and a half now, and although I often feel fine mentally, my physical state still panics me a little bit.

    * I sometimes feel a bit faint, and get tired and fatigued more easily.
    * I've found sleeping at night a bit difficult, but I've been getting by.
    * I get hungry quicker, but lose my appetite quicker.
    * I worry about getting drowsy and tired.
    * I sometimes find it more difficult to breathe comfortably, as if there's a lump in my throat.
    * I've been drinking glasses of water more frequently as I think having a lack of water has made me feel faint sometimes.
    * I sometimes worry about what I'm doing in the future.
    * Given the state of my health, I am more reluctant to go out walking (which I enjoy doing frequently), or drinking a single beer (which I've not done for a while).

Normally I do get tired, but not to a point where it makes me fatigued worried. I'm eating properly (but sometimes with less appetite). I also get a bitter taste of spit in my mouth too during the day.

Does anybody know about how I can overcome this?

Hi there and welcome aboard the forum.

A lot of these sound like common anxiety symptoms and they are all horrid to experience I know.

Were you on any meds for the depression and are you still on them atall?

Well I am taking St Johns Wort at the moment. I was given anti depressants that I took only once (not with the St Johns Wort), and that gave me an anxiety attack, so I'm back on the herbal stuff.

    Hi,

Welcome to the forum, you will get a lot of advice here and make some new friends.

All the symptoms you listed are all typical anxiety ones.

How long have you been taking St. Johns wort for?

Staying positive and not allowing the anxiety and depression take over really helps towards recovery.

    Take care
