I've read that activities such as art can help alleviate feelings of anxiety. Its true!!!
Even doodling on an old receipt will switch your brains attention away from the anxiety centres and makes you focus on something else. Art is also a useful tool for expressing emotions.
This being said I thought it would be a great idea if people could post up a drawing of how they think that little gremlin that gives you your OCD thoughts, makes you anxious or panicky or just tells you youre a waste of space looks like.
My aim is to get people to give their problems a face. Something concrete that they can focus on when those thoughts hit, and something to tell to sod off!
Once you've drawn out the evil little gremlin, I want you to then add something silly.
For me, my gremlin will be wearing a tutu and have a pink bow on his head. The stupider you can make it look, the easier it'll be to ignore! Well thats the theory anyway!
Im not expecting any great works of art from people. So dont be put off! Give it a try
I think everyone should have MS paint on their PC. Its a very simple art package, so is easy to learn. Or you could draw it out and take a photo of it
