Hello people,

My name is John. I have been stressed most of my life and for 25 years I dealt with it with drugs and drink. Now I've been clean for 19 years
apart from a drinking bout 11 years ago.

I'm on mirtazapine 45mg and it's the best one I have tried.

I brought 3 of my kids up on my own because their mother never got clean and one of my sons still lives with me.
Just the two of us in a house with garden on the south coast.

Not too shabby for an ex-junkie, and I am grateful for what I have. My other son and 2 daughters are quite near with a total of 5 grandchildren.

I hope I get to know some of you.

It's great that you've found a medication that works and have managed to stay off the drink and drugs. Sounds like life has been tough for you, being a single parent bringing up 3 kids has to be stressful. Really good to see that you've got through it though.
