    twitch in finger

    hi everybody

Has anybody had a twitching finger where the finger actually moves from side to side. It is in my tallest finger not all the time just now and again.

    Thanks lorraine

    Re: twitch in finger

This is known as Myokymia and constitutes a fine motor twitch. It is a very common presentation, particularly affecting the eyelids. Stress is often an underlying factor.

It can persist for several days, in some cases weeks before resolving. In the absence of any other symptoms, it is entirely benign.
