What happens when we still experience pain or discomfort even though all the tests prove negative?

I have been to A and E no less than five times since last October in relation to my pain under my right ribs. I'm under a gastroentologist, I've had CT scan, ultrasound scan and an endoscopy. The only concern was the biopsy from the endoscopy which showed my duodenum was poor owing to reoccuring Coeliac Disease which I've had for 20 years. They believe some small amounts of gluten may have entered my stomach recently.

However, all other proceedures and blood tests have proved negative. I have taken Buscopan which wasn't effective. My gallbladder was removed last year. The pain is mainly upper right to centre abdomen, more of a dull than sharp. Nausea is common, and the pain can become worse after a bowel movement. There is no change in bowel habits and everything else appears normal.

So my question is..............if the specialists don't know, what can we do but suffer?
