Stomach issues despite PPI

I'm getting upper stomach pain both before and after eating despite being on a PPI called rabeprazole for 3 weeks now.

I am worried that because the PPI is obviously not working, I have stomach cancer.

Can anyone help?

Hi Skippy,

I had this too (and still have it occassionally) and went to my doctor. I get bad stomach pains in my upper abdomen that almost feels like a spasm or cramp and hurts my back too. It used to ease off when I ate something but then comes back again. I had been to see 2 doctors and both said that it could either be a viral infection or IBS. IBS is very common foir thosw who suffer from stress and anxiety. Take a trip t your dictors and get ot checked out, but try not to worry. Let me know how you get on xx
