Hi Georga, I'm sorry you are feeling overloaded with meds. I can only say I take prop along with fluoxetine (and previously on a tricyclic) and some other things and it doesn;t cause me any obvious problems, although I can't take more than a low dose or it makes me horribly dizzy

I was prescribed Propranolo 40mg and I was only on them 10 days, I have really bad Dizzy Spells, Light Headness, they do get into your system all most straight away.

They just didn't suit me at all.

Hope you don't have my side effects x

    Hi Hopers.

The amount of beta blockers you are taking is fine , and they work in a completely different way to your other meds, so dont worry in that respect, i take propranolol 120mg a day, as well as citalopram , dosulepin , and other various pills for ibs/gerd etc. Beta blockers are used for lots of different reasons, high BP, angina , anxiety , and migraine.
My sister takes them for anxiety too, she also has horrendous migraines, but she hasnt had one since starting propranolol.

i have to say they cause me very little in the way of side effects, in the begining i felt tired, but other than that not really anything else.

I put off taking them for well over a year, plucked up the courage to take them, ( i was terrified) and i am so glad i did, it doesnt take my anxiety away, it dampens down all those nasty physical symptoms, that i just could live with anymore.
    Keep going and good luck

    P x
