Re: Is this recovery? DARE I hope?

    Hi EJ and Jane

Just 3 hours a day building up to 5 next week till a full return to 9-5 in about 4-5 weeks. Going to be a struggle because I'm exhausted as it is. But I'm better working as otherwise I would just sit at home and dwell on things. Then the guilt builds up!

Am on 30mg Mirtazapine, think it helps a bit though can still get very low especially in the mornings.

The kids have been great and am seeing them tomorrow for a few hours just like work it's a case of doing what I can do but looking forward to seeing them.

I have mixed feelings when I think of the original title of this post back in July as I thought I'd recovered and then went really downhill again but I'm still here and still carrying on so that is positive.

The problem this time unlike other bouts of depression I've had is have lost a lot of weight and have physical symptoms to go along with it. But life is a challenge and I'll get there.

Nice to hear from both of you and I'll keep in touch.

    Gordon

Keep popping in Gordon - and it sounds as if you are making real progress, just continue to take it slowly if you need to xxx

Now that I am recovering-I use the word loosely but am in a better place mentally than I was-I am just putting this out in the hope that Yvonne and Nick might see it and post me an update on how life is treating you both? You were both so helpful and supportive to me during a rough time in my life and it would be good to hear you are doing ok?

If I don't hear or you just don't want to leave a message that is fine and I will just let this thread drop.

And to anybody else who offered support through the site from the middle of last year to now thank you-it was very much appreciated.

    Hi Gordon,

Glad to hear that you are on track again...I did follow your thread though didnt post on it before. We can only live day by day and keep hoping that we can keep this dreadful complaint at bay...I know only too well.

I wish you continued good health and happiness.
