switching seroxat to something else

Hi has anyone swapped from seroxat to something diffrent?.ive been on them for years 12/13.cut down from 20 to 10 ok for a couple of months now ive hit rock bottom,panicking thinking im going mad crying.the therapist might want to swap me over apparently.just need some advice please .

I was on Seroxate for 15 years and it seemed to stop working for me so my Psychiatrist put me on Cipralex the change over happended gradually over 2 weeks, this was last Oct, the new tabs havnt really worked for me and I am now back on Seroxate I am hoping now Ive had a break they will start working again for me (on Day 7) x

thanks kerry i really dont know what to do they worked really well till i cut down then i upped them and had problems so cut down again.just feel scared x

when you said you had problems so cut down again, what do you mean?

Yes I swapped from seroxat after 12 years onto citalopram. the withdrawal was horrendous. citalopram did not work for me and I became very ill last year. I was then put onto venlafaxine and they have been good for me. good luck x
