Not much of a tip really but worth mentioning perhaps.

Talking to my therapist, we both remarked on how difficult it can be to avoid potential triggers for anxiety in the media. I've more or less trained myself to avoid newspapers, certain magazines and television programmes because I know there's a good chance they'll contain something that'll set me off. One of the worse culprits though is the internet home page. Every time I log on I get bombarded with wall to wall news reports, top to bottom, side to side, courtesy of Virgin media and of course once its' there, the temptation is to click on one or two and off I go.

But not any more. I've just downloaded a new tool bar from KISS online, website of the American rock band of whom I happen to be a fan. Now when I log on I get Mr Simmons and co in full regalia leering at me which is far better than the latest disaster from Virgin news.

As I said, a small thing but it may help. If you browse around whatever enthusiast sites interest you, maybe you'll find something similar.
