Suffered from high anxiety for 3 months and off work most of last month. Although still struggling daily with the constant anxiety decided to go back to work last week in the hope that it would be a good distraction. Finding it hard at times but it better than being in the house all day on own.

Imo, I don't think we are not capable of work, depending on its nature of course. It's how to cope with the anxiety and panic while at work.
Some people don't want to take that risk or it just becomes too exhausting and scary.
And it depends on your boss of course.

I find work to be a great distraction from anxiety.
Of course others may not feel the same.
