hi i was on here a while ago but thuoght it was fine and had gone but all of a sudden my face has started going numb down oneside feels like someone is putting a feather under my chin i feel soo upset getting me down .pleas could someone give me a bit of moral support would appreciate this ...xxxx

I had this a few days ago. its not a symptom iv had before and i was quite scared, thought i was having a stroke!

Hey Rikki,

When my anxiety and panic attacks first started the numbness on one side of my face and tickly feeling on other bits was the scariest thing in the world. Especially since I hadn't been diagnosed with anxiety then. Apparently it's a very common symptom and has to do with nerve sensations and the way we interpret the sensory information sent to them. Sometimes with anxiety they are just so overactive that they feel the worng thing! It isn't anything to worry about. Check in with the doctor if you haven't yet for some peace of mind
