Blood test phobia, please help

Hi,
I am feeling absolutely exhausted all the time, no matter how much sleep I get, and I know that I could do with having a blood test to check everything is ok.
The problem is, I'm absolutely terrified of blood tests and the thought of fainting, and every time I get close to having a test I get extreme panic attacks and run away.
Please can anyone help? Is anyone in the same situation?
The worry about it is constantly playing on my mind, and I don't know what to do.

Hi hun! Know exactly how you feel. I wouldn't go near a single needle until i fell pregnant i knew i had no choice so i sat down with my doctor and exsplained how terrified i was. She offered me this special cream that you apply an hour before you go for your test and i promise you, you don't feel a thing. It completely numb's the area (its kind of weird when you poke it cause you can't feel it lol). Ask your doctor about it and they will give you some on prescription, then when you book your blood test you can be prepared. Hope this helps

Even "normal" people hate blood tests so take solace from that.
Im not actually scared of the needle, im scared something will go wrong.

Needle and blood phobias are really common. Specific phobias(as these are called) respond very well to Hypnotherapy for most people.
