This afternoon, Mum and I walked around some of my Parents village, wearing each a Colitis and Crohn's vest. Mum wore the of design of vest and I wore the new one.
I was supposed to take part in a 10k run/jog/walk on the 1st August, but didn't end up going. I decided to walk 6.2 miles atleast, on my own route, because people had sponsored me.
Using a website, I mapped out which way to go, but mum had other ideas and went a different way. We enjoyed walking and the weather was on our side. My nmp ted came with me, only his head showing out of my rucksack.
So proud of my mum I am, for going with me. In the end,we didn't get very far, but I could always go on my own one day and complete the rest of the distance.
When we gave up walking, the sun wad hot and we were tired, so we got a bus and went to buy some lunch, before going to my Parents house.
I went back on the website to work out how far we walked, and it said 1.57 miles.
Aso I'm glad I've had the opportunity to raise awareness of Crohn's and Colitis.
