    Citalopram - Increased Dosage

I've been taking Citalopram for about 2 months now and although it was horrible at first things improved. Recently however I have noticed myself sinking back down again. After going to my Doctors he explained that as I was worried about possible side-effects, he only put me on a 10mg dose so it was a little expected that they might not be powerful enough.

I am now on 20mg per day and have been for the past week. Although i feel better than I did a week ago, I find that I feel a little like I did during the first 2 weeks of taking the 10mg (nowhere near as bad though).

So basically, what I'm wondering is, when you increase your dose, is it like starting from new again and how long do you think it will take before I feel any benefit from the 20mg?
