Hi

This is my first ever visit to a message board/chat room.
I am here probably like many others, are suffering from pains in the chest which my consultant is telling me is anxiety.
The consultant is convinced my anxiety is due to my constant worrying after my operation and radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer 16 months ago.
I was wondering if any other members here have been through the same mental torture.

my love i am suffering from a kind of "post traumatic stress syndrome"...i had major surgery four years ago....and for some reason it has now resurfaced and i keep on thinking wot if it comes back...how will my daughter cope etc etc. i suffer from crohns disease where the surgery was, was hidious and i was housebound for four months.

could you consultant or gp maybe refer you to see a councellor i saw mine four years ago and i am now booked in to see her next week...i did have a bit of a wait.

its awful when we are worrying about our previous medical issues....sometimes they consume me...but you know wot you have been 16 months clear and i have been four years clear...how good are we doing. please pm me anytime xxxxx i do understand the "what if's" and how scary it is after a major medical problem.
