    Back to venlafaxine...again

I came off venlafaxine one year ago (225mg) because I was planning to start a family and was advised there is more data on SSRI safety in pregnancy. So I switched to seroxat which made me gain 1.5 stones and then changed to fluoxetine which I have been taking for over 3 months now and my anxiety has been horrible. I have finally, today had enough and my GP has prescribed venlafaxine again. It's so annoying that I have gone through all these changes and difficulties for nothing! I have to stop my fluoxetine tomorrow for a week and then start venlafaxine really slowly and build up gradually. I just hope to God it works for me again.

Urgh I know the feeling, Paula. Effexor didn't actually work for me, and I came off sertraline to try it and after 1.5 years had to switch back to sertraline. I wish I had stayed put now! Fingers crossed the Effexor works its magic this time round for you.
