Has the Doctor ever made you feel like....

....your wasting their time? I went this morning as I have been worried about some heartburn and also mouth ulcers which I have had for ages and it was as if shewasnt that interested. I came out feeling a bit silly and embarassed .

I have had this happen a couple of times. I left feeling worse than when I went. Not everyone, even Doctors, understand what it is like to live with this constant and uncontrollable fear. I hope you feel better and find a better doctor.

i can def relate to this ..

I will go in .. explain my symptoms .. he will talk to me for 5 mins and then get up and open the door for me lol

Oh absolutely. I was there the other day and every question she asked me, she started talking over me when I was halfway through my answer. Seemed she couldn't get me out of the door quick enough .

I do wish they would understand more! i dread going to the doctors now cause they just look as tho to say why are you here again?? that does make you feel embarrased and in some ways embarrased that you keep going back................. why dont they just help in the first place then we wouldnt keep going back to them every week!

I certainly don't want to use my doctor as just someone to talk to. I'd feel as though I was wasting time that could be used for others.

When I see the doctor, I try to have in my head the shortest version of what I need to say. I also try to make sure I know what I need to ask and make sure he answers each one. Provided he answers my questions fully, I don't care how he acts.

In some ways it's a good sign if they're looking to get you out the door, could indicate they know it's nothing to worry about end of, kinda thing?
But yes, years ago I think my doc was sick of seeing me once a week.
The one I have now isn't great & they scare me these days tbh, so I cant actually remember the last time I went to the doc! x
