Muscle spasm

Hi
just wondereing has anyone suffered from muscle spasm when first starting Citalopram ? I woke up during the night with the most horrendous spasm in my foot and it lasted agaes, then it happened again during the early hours in my hand and arm. Awful sensation.

I've not used that drug myself but when my ex boyfriend was on it he did get awful muscle spasms and they kept him awake at night.

Thank you for your reply shoegal. Maybe it is a side effect and will wear off ,I will just have to wait and see how it goes. Still very early days on the tablets.
