Just noticed that no one has posted on this forum before!

I have had a 24 hour urine test when I was pregnant and it was the most disgusting thing ever lol! Had to save all my wee wee in a bottle - every pee! They then sent that away for testing. Dont think the midwife at hospital was too impressed when I handed her a big massive bottle of the stuff as I dont think she expected so much lol!

Just thought I would share my experience of 24 hour urine tests! xxx

I have had two lol. I had to take a day off work to do it as I couldn't face doing it at work all day.

LOL.....well, as a nurse Ails I can assure you we are very used to getting handed big bottles of wee wee and become quite accustomed to handling all kind of gross things all in the line of duty, be it wee wee, poo, vomit or spit! (sorry to be so graphic!!!)

I just feel sorry for anyone having to do them as it is a right pain!

I've had kidney stones recently and since the ops I've been drinking 3-4l a day minimum.

I'll need a big bottle if they ask for a 24h test!

It's alos amazing how much you can pee in one go. When measuring I maxed at 500ml!
