Starting citalopram and a new job

I took citalopram some years ago but I was agoraphobic and at university (signed off by my GP) so I didn't have to deal with the issue of worrying about anything other than taking the tablets. They took about 2 weeks before I felt some noticeable effect so I had a short time adjusting but I do remember very vivid dreams/sleeplessness and an increase in anxiety.

I've been putting off re-starting them but have finally had the 'push' I needed to realise that I need them, for now at least. With that said I'm starting a new job on Monday so reluctant to take them with that in mind.

Has anyone dealt with starting them and work? Or starting a new job when starting citalopram?

I havent' started a new job but have I took them in a job with a group of very competitive / aggressive men who would have used it against me if they'd found out, which was a bit of a worry.

That was definatley a concern for me, will I be ill, or super tired etc and if so, how do I explain it if anyone asked.

Generally I would say the quicker you get on them and adjusted the better and obviously the sooner you'll get the benefit of them.

Are you being treated for agoraphobic again or is it a more generalised anxiety?

I guess the question is, will the core problem be worse than the potential side effects?
