Thread: ATOS Medical...

  1. Re: ATOS Medical...

Im sad to have read that people are being forced to attend medicals. They cannot forced you if attending would endanger your health, mental or physical.

By attending a medical you almost automatically fail.

    Was driven to medical exam?

Claimant has no difficulty sitting for long periods of time (Physical Section)

    Drove yourself?

Claimant has no difficulty sitting for long periods of time and has no problem initiating and sustaining action (Mental Health and Physical Section)

    Arrived by public transport?

Claimant has no difficulty standing, sitting and initiating and sustaining personal action. (Physical and mental health section)

    Appearance clean and tidy?

Claimant has no difficulty reaching or with manual dexterity does not need encouragement to dress.

Arrived and went to reception to give your name and appointment letter?

Claimant does not have problems with memory and communication (mental health)

Sat down until doctor called your name?

Does not suffer from agoraphobia to any serious extent and can sit for long period.

Did not ask for key to use toilet?
Does not have problems with incontinence and voiding

YOU MUST get your doctor onside to strongly state that your condition or the medication used to treat it leaves you unfit to travel.

    Can you pass ESA medical

For those of you who have failed the medical: appeal. If you get someone onside to help you have a good chance.

Dont give up and just call them sods. Fight for your right!!

I just dont know really what to write as I am so angry that benefit claimants are treated so terribly by this Goverment. How can people be treated so badily just because this country is in a recession and they have to make themselves far worse just to satisfy the demands by certain goverment departments. The only thing I can suggest is to write to your MP and tell him/her your concerns and how these issues impact on you and your future well being. I have in the past and it did make a difference with one goverment body backing off completely. People with anxiety disorders plus or minus depression are still people with major bodily symptoms and sensations who a lot of the time just need time to sort themselves out and that may take months or years. Sending people back before they are well is just asking for the illness to really take a hold and that as we all know is a real disaster. The main problem is that we are being assessed by people who usually have no idea how anxiety can be so disabiling. All the goverment is interested in is saving money regardless of the impact or increasing morbidity.

Witchfinder General for (DWP) get x2 Prime Minister and bonus rated pay

The highest-paid government IT director, Joe Harley, earned at least £12,500 in performance-related pay last year.

Harley, IT director general and CIO of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) was revealed to earn nearly double the salary of the prime minister (£142,500) in a list published by the Cabinet Office when the new coalition government came to power.

Although the Cabinet Office’s list showed that Harley earned a salary of up to £249,999, new government salary figures compiled by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism showed that he earned £262,500 in 2009/10, around five percent more than previously thought.

However, a spokesperson for the DWP said that the initial Cabinet Office figures “did not include performance-related payments, such as bonuses”.
