Sertraline - chest pain and palpitations

Hi everyone!
I've been on Sertraline about a month now.
I had been on Cipramil for years but was changed to Sertraline due to a major depressive episode.

I started on 50mg, increased to 100mg after a week, then up to 150mg after another week.

The side effects were pretty bad and the dose was then reduced to 100mg and then 50mg which I'm now doing well on mentally.

Physically I'm not so good - dizzy, shaky,lack of appetite, but especially chest pain and now over the past week, palpitations which seem to be becoming more frequent.

Has anyone else experienced this and did these symptons ease off over time or result in a change of medication?

dizzy,shaky and lack of appetite are normal, I would get chest pain and palpitations checked out. A call to the pharmacist in the morning should help.

My GP (who is really good - I've been very lucky) has had and ECG/Stress Test done as well as a CT scan so if they all check out it will be put down to the Sertraline.

I looked on another website about side effects and it seems that the pain and irregular heartbeat can ease after another 4-6 weeks in most cases.

I hope so, as I wouldn't like to have to switch to something else and start all over again when I'm doing so well now mentally after a very shaky start.
