Am i ready to go back to work?

Hi guys

I'm due to be back at work next week after having two weeks off due to depresion. I'm so nervious that I don't think I'm ready. When ever I think about going back I have a horrid feeling in my stomach and then start to feel sick. I'm just worried about turning up and having another brake down. Does anyone else feel like this? I'm on 20 mg btw : ) x x

Hi take a chance and see how you go...use these last days before going back to pamper yourself. You'll do fine, and getting back with workmates is sure to help. You can do it. The mind is a powerful toll, think positive. x

Will your boss allow you to go back part time to start with, maybe just working half a day for a week or two and see how you go?

Hi Emma .
I was off 8 months and I had the same feelings as yourself.
What I suggest is bite the bullet and do it hun- it will be ok its just the anticipation of it all. Do you think you need a phased in return?? if so I would get in touch with you HR dept to let them know how you are feeling. Dont beat yourself up about it if the day does not go well - you did it you went in . pat yourself on the back for that little victory.
