Another Blood Test with an Abnormality

I had a letter through the post today from the doctors, It said that my ESR levels are improving but still raised and a slight rise in my White Blood Cell Count.

This is really nothing to worry about. I have had borderline or slightly raised readings before and it certainly hasn't killed me.

Glad it's at least improving.

It's just strange how on my last 3-4 blood tests i constantly have something like ESR or White Blood Cell Count that is raised.

I did tell you that raised white blood count can be caused by STRESS ....You didnt take any notice tho . You have been stressing a lot lately havent you ? It takes its toll on the physical as well as the mental well being of the individual ..Sue x

Raised white blood cells usually indicate that you have an infection within your body. Your body raises its white blood cells to fight off infections. This is their purpose. I have had this happen on occassion and the doctor will just keep repeating your blood tests until they come back clear. It is probably a simple water infection.

In the last 3 blood tests i have had over the past 9-10 weeks these have been the results:-

Blood Test #1:- Raised WBC.

Blood Test #2:- Raised ESR (Not sure if WBC was raised in that one.)

Blood Test #3:- Raised WBC & ESR.

Just had my blood test, It was to check B12, Folate, Coeliac Disease and CRP.

I have to have another full blood count done next week as well to check my ESR and WBC levels again. :(

Phoned up this morning and blood test results were abnormal.
