start of week 8 and still really anxious!

Hi all

I'm new on here, although I visit regularly to read the posts. I am on 20 mg Prozac and just started week 8. In the beginning I had really bad side effects particularly anxiety which left me with nervous symptoms, i.e. burning sensation. I have now (I think) developed a fear of this because at its worst is feels like a 10 on a 1-10 pain threshold. I have now developed anxiety over this. will the prozac help to settle this down once my depression fully lifts. I have a gp appointment in the morning and am considering asks her for meds for anxiety, but not sure what to ask for?
would appreciate some advice x

im on prozac(again) for my anxiety,been on it now for 5 years now,i first went on it for panic attacks but now im on it again cos of really bad anxiety(came off prozac for a bit).the thing with prozac is that everyone reacts differently to it,some people feel like c**p wen they start taking it while others feel improvement quickly.for me,i felt awful for the first two months or so,then it kicked in,i felt great,i was gonna give up but i gave it a chance to start working.however,if u feel really bad still maybe u should talk to the doctor as they may up ur dose to 40mg to see how u are on that.
