Iron-Deficiency Anemia & Ectopics

I have been a vegetarian for 2 years, and am a child-bearing female. A recent 3-day diet analysis showed I was getting only a little over 50% of my iron needs.

I experience heart palpitations, "ectopic/skipped" heart beats, shortness of breath, etc. I am wondering if I don't have some sort of anemia. Has any had any experience with this

I get ectopics occasionally, but not as bad as other posters here. I have been on a high-dose iron supplement (Vitron C) for the last six months and have definitely noticed a decrease in my funky heartbeats.

I have a wonderful blood count and always do have but I still get really bad ectopics at times. There are so many things that might cause it from anaemia to low potassium or magnesium to stomach trouble to plain old anxiety.
If you have other symptoms of low iron then ask your GP to test you so you can at least like me rule that one out as a cause!
